Are the foods you eat making you sick, fat and tired? Find out how to gain the upper hand, clear the confusion and eat the foods that are truly right for you.

You have heard the saying you are what you eat but have you wondered if you are eating what is right for you?  Did you know that the foods you eat, much like chemical and environmental allergens can cause an immune response in your body? When this occurs, it is called a food allergy. These food allergies can be broken into two categories:  immediate and delayed.

Immediate food reaction is a immediate allergic response that will almost always provoke an immune reaction. Symptom onset is rapid and may include tingling of extremities, wheezing, coughing, tightening of the throat, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Sometimes in cases where nuts, shellfish, fish, and peanuts have been eaten anaphylaxis can occur.

A food sensitivity, as opposed to a food allergy, are not immediate. In fact, they develop gradually and aren’t life threatening. Symptoms of a delayed food allergy can take up to 72 hours to appear.. It can be difficult to identify the offending food since we eat so many foods that go through different processes and have many ingredients. It is estimated that 20% of the population have an adverse reaction to a certain food.

Food sensitivities may be caused by many factors such as stress, infections, overeating, artificial preservatives, additives, molds, pesticides, antibiotics, and environmental pollutants. Unidentified food sensitivities can then contribute to many chronic health conditions: including Inability to Lose Weight, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Arthritis, Headaches, Autism, ADD/ADHD, Eczema, Chronic Infections, Anxiety, Stomach Problems, Malabsorption, Insomnia and many others.

Asana Wellness uses state of the art testing to identify the offending foods in your diet. Your test will help you identify fat burning, fat storing and inflammatory foods impairing immune function.

We offer a 96 and 184 panel test.

Mold Test :Wondering if you have a mold allergy? The spores of mold fungi are common causes of inhalant allergy. Asthma or respiratory tract symptoms are often signs of mold allergy or exposure. The most common places that molds are found are moist damp areas such as basements, trashcans, plant soil and woodpiles. Mold colonies are often seen growing on the surface of moist foods such as bread, cheese and jam.

Yet, you may not even realize that many of us are consuming fungi from moldy foods or from the actual food manufacturing process every day.  Fungi are used in a variety of ways, such as the making of cheese or fermented products. Yeast is used is the process of making wine or beer, vinegar and bakery products. Asthmatics who are sensitive to inhaled mold spores can experience urticaria (hives), angioedema (swelling) and cardiac symptoms after consuming substances containing yeast or mold.

If you are suspecting mold allergies or sensitivities, avoiding all exposure of mold may not be possible. However, you can reduce your risk by identifying problem molds through our serum blood test. Stop guessing and understand your risks so you can take action as the Asana team will share a Mold Elimination Plan with you as part of your testing or program package.

ACC Test :Additives/ Coloring & Chemicals Test. Food colorings are one of the most widely used and dangerous additives. They are a large and varied group of substances added to food to prevent growth of microorganisms, give color or flavor, improve texture or prevent browning.

If you have had a high level of chemical exposure that your body has been unable to properly detox you may have what is called, chemical sensitivity.  This is a chronic condition affecting different parts of the body appearing to develop in people who are prone to other types of allergy. They may have a history of asthma, eczema, or hay fever in the past, or genetic predisposition.
